Here's something fun I did when I was working on the last set of posters. I tried to take snapshots of the painting at every significant point of progress, then assembled them into a GIF animation. It's nothing groundbreaking, but kind of fun to watch. Click the picture below to check it out -

Also of note, if you're interested in seeing some of my favorite things that I've found around the webs lately, you can check out my shared items on Google Reader. It's mostly inspiring pieces of art that I collect from the blogs of the world. If you have a shared page too, please feel free to post it in the comments! It'd be fascinating to see all the things that are inspiring other artists.

That's really interesting to see how you work. I would've never thought to work everything up in grey values and then pick the colors afterwards. I guess that's a good way to make sure your values are good and shapes are reading well. |

This is totally helpful, I've always wondered how you work out your tones/values! You should host your own TV show, Digital Painting with Kevin Dart! I would definitely watch that! |

That's so cool! I feel like I've absorbed some of your painting skills watching this. If only it were true...
Have fun with the Totoros in San Francisco! |

Wow I love process sequences like that! It's always so interesting to see how others work. I love how loose you start and how you sculpt it and shape it as you go. Do more of these! |
