In "To Catch a Temptress", our heroine Yuki is brainwashed by a masked villainess and forced to steal valuable jewels from a heavily guarded palace that only she has the skills to penetrate. How will she escape the grasp of the masked temptress?
This wraps up the first set of posters I have planned, and it's finished just in the nick of time for APE. Chris and I are gonna be sitting at tables 333 and 334, right up front near the registration tables. We'll have all of our latest Jules Verne screenprints, books, a few classic prints, and a small stock of these new Yuki 7 posters. But there's going to be tons of rad things and cool people to see there. Here's a quick rundown of things you have to check out:
Elizabeth Ito (539)
Adorable monster plushes and amazing art prints!
Bob Logan (539)
Has a gorgeous book called "Rocket Town"!
Josh Parpan and Justin Parpan (519)
These talented bros seriously make the coolest prints around!
Brigette Barrager (228)
Awesome art for indie kids!
Shelly Wan (104)
Selling prints of her phenomenal paintings!
Wednesday Kirwan (231)
Crazy sweet prints and little paintings!
See you this weekend at The Concourse in beautiful San Francisco! |

This is Yuki's third film in which she encounters Lotus, the alluring Italian double agent, as well as the mysterious Bikini Assassination Squad. I'd like to quickly thank Elizabeth Ito and Chris Turnham for the help with my color choices on these posters. We're all excitedly getting ready for APE next weekend, and I have one more poster to get finished before then. I'll post more details about the show this week.
Oh yeah, I have a bunch of things in the Gama-Go store right now. I can't really vouch for the quality of any of this stuff since I haven't seen it in person, but I assume they're all fine products:
Squid Lagoon T-Shirt
Hello Brooklyn T-Shirt
Golden Gate Squid T-Shirt
Hello Brooklyn Billfold
Deathbot Samurai Billfold |

"A Kiss From Tokyo" was the first movie to star International Girl of Mystery Yuki 7. Made in 1964 amid the spy culture craze that followed the worldwide success of "Dr. No", it launched the career of Kimiko Suzuki who would go on to play Yuki 7 in several more spy films.
This is the first poster I've done in the series - what do you all think? I think I finally settled on the name Yuki 7 for our hero, but it could still change. |

This is pretty close to Yuriko's final design, shown here in her scuba gear. I've been trying to think of a catchier spy name for her though. The best one I have so far is Kim 60. Any thoughts or ideas?
Here are a few more sketch pages too.
