2006 is coming to an end, and I thought it would be cool to reflect a bit. So much happened this year, it's tough to even figure out what to write about first! Back in January I was working in video games and had a tiny little website on the side where I was just getting serious about posting illustrations, and Chris and I were only starting to think about selling prints of our work. Since then we've been to three comic conventions, started an online store, been in our first gallery show, I've pitched a show to Disney and had it rejected, been published in 4 books, met tons of artists who I've admired for years, and on top of that I even found time to fall in love. So it was definitely an exciting year, and I've already got even more exciting things planned for next year. I can't wait to see how it unfolds!
Happy Holidays to all of you! |

The idea for this little image came to me while I was traveling back home from Thanksgiving holidays, and was subsequently thumbnailed while I was stranded overnight at the Sea-Tac airport. I'll be using it as my Christmas card this year, so if I like you maybe you'll be getting one in your mailbox!
Thanks to my beautiful girlfriend Elizabeth Ito for her help on this piece. I was close to tossing it out before she pointed out a few things I could do to fix it.
UPDATE: You can now get a FREE exclusive mini print of this piece with any order from Fleet Street Scandal! Go check it out! |
