Chris and I finally opened our store, Fleet Street Scandal! Now you can go there to buy prints of our stuff!

Here are some new drawings too. This first one of the girl fighting the snake was supposed to be part of that "Princess Felari" series, but the girl ended up looking completely different.

This is my entry for CGTalk's most recent challenge, "The Journey Begins". I don't stand a chance of winning anything, but it was fun to do anyway.

This one's based on Frazetta's Edgar Rice Burroughs covers. I want to do a little series with the Princess Felari character and all of her adventures getting captured by giant birds and lizards and such.
Also, to answer some questions I've been getting asked a lot lately, yes I'll be offering prints of some of these new illustrations soon. Chris and I just need to figure out a design for our website and then we'll be in business. And I'm really sorry I haven't answered the people who have asked about how I'm making these pictures! I'm planning on making another tutorial soon, I've just been really busy. |

I just finished reading this book recently after my aunt recommended it to me, and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to make this painting! It isn't very accurate to the book, but I mostly just wanted to capture the excitement that I felt while reading it, so I took some liberties with a few things. |

I decided that since I've been doing a lot of girl drawings lately that I would take a break and do a painting of some dudes. And there's no cooler dudes to draw than these three right here! I'm a huge fan of this movie, I think it's the best looking film ever made.
Also, here are some more practice people drawings from the mall this week. I felt like I was being too rigid and designy with these sketches.

One day when I grow up, I want to be Robert McGinnis. Seriously, he is the best artist I've ever seen. All of his design ideas are so innovative. This piece was inspired by a bunch of his book covers and movie posters. It's also inspired by my love of terrible shark movies. I tried to imagine the best shark movie ever - killer babes, killer sharks, and killer underwater fight sequences, all wrapped up in one sweet movie package.
Oh, and since Scuba Girl has been so popular I deicded to give her a little cameo is this piece, haha. She's in the lower left by the main girl's leg. |
