In the summer of 2000 I entered a web site development contest called Thinkquest. The point of the contest was to make an educational web site by collaborating with other students around the world. My team consisted of myself, James (Singapore), Richard (Australia), and our coach Ms. Gwee (Singapore). We chose to do our web site about mail and the postal services around the world. In October that year we were notified that we were finalists and that we would be flown to Cairo for the final judging and awards ceremony. However, because of instability in the Middle East, the ceremony was for a time cancelled, but they eventually rescheduled it and changed the location to Geneva, Switzerland. The whole trip was about 4 days and was one of the best experiences of my life. Click below for the photos.
